Taiwan‑US Baseball Hub
Baseball has long been a shared cultural heartbeat between the United States and Taiwan. Recent surveys continue to show how deeply the sport resonates in both societies. In 2025, a national Gallup study reported that 44% of Americans expressed interest in baseball, confirming its enduring place in American culture (Gallup, 2025).
In Taiwan, baseball remains the most beloved national sport. According to the 2025 Taiwan Sports Administration National Survey, 58% of Taiwanese listed baseball as their favorite or second‑favorite sport (Sports Administration, Ministry of Education, 2025). Baseball is woven into everyday life — from school tournaments to professional CPBL games — and continues to shape Taiwan’s sporting identity.
Taiwan’s connection to American baseball has grown even stronger through the success of Taiwanese players in MLB and MiLB. Over the years, stars such as Chien‑Ming Wang, Wei‑Yin Chen, Yu Chang, Tzu‑Wei Lin, and Chin‑Lung Hu have competed on the world’s biggest baseball stage. Their achievements have inspired a new generation of fans. By 2026, a national fan‑behavior study found that over 40% of Taiwanese baseball fans regularly follow MLB or MiLB games, players, and storylines (Sports Administration, Ministry of Education, 2026).
This shared enthusiasm creates a unique opportunity — and a responsibility — to build a stronger cultural bridge between the two baseball communities.
Our Mission
Taiwan‑US Baseball Hub was created to build a two‑way cultural bridge between Taiwan and the United States. Our mission is simple but powerful:
- Help people in the United States understand Taiwan’s baseball culture, traditions, music, chants, and game‑day rituals
- Help people in Taiwan gain deeper insight into American baseball culture, from MLB history to ballpark traditions
- Support players, coaches, managers, media, and fans on both sides of the Pacific
- Promote cultural exchange, storytelling, and shared appreciation for the sport we all love
Baseball is more than a game — it is a language, a community, and a cultural identity. Through this platform, we aim to connect two baseball‑loving nations and celebrate the passion, history, and innovation that make the sport special.
